I free ranged my chickens today, and 5/7 loved it.

Here are them seeing bushes for the first time:

(64-bit is the Mottled Java to the left, Blue is the BLRW in the center, Mr Clucks is the BA rooster to the right, the BA in front is unnamed, and my EE, Easter is on the bottom left)


Here was a photo intended for Mr Clucks, but Buffy wanted her face in it.

But, Easter, the EE decided to go run into a big sticker bush (the stickers are approx 5 meters/yards high) and she was pretty nervous after that, but we got her. But Blue, when I was getting them all back into the coop decided to go running in the woods and I don't know where she went. It's dark out now and she hasn't returned.

It was fun for the rest of them, though. I'm not free ranging for any amounts of time again, though; especially if Blue never returns (which the chance is very low, sadly).

no, it's a song from a band called imagine dragons, one of my favorite bands. they wrote, umm, radioactive, it's time, i'm on top of the world, bleeding out, and lots of other songs i don't listen too. it just happened to be playing.   

now i'm listening to pompeii.

I just let me chickens free range. One strayed off from my roo (they all fallowed him and never went out of his sight). She got stuck inside a big sticker bush and was traumatized, but we got her out. Just as I got the chickens back into the coop, one strayed off into the woods. It's almost dark and I haven't found her yet.

Oh No! I hope you find her or she comes back!!!!
