Your rooster is crazy.. In some ways. I have never heard of a rooster taking down a hen he doesn't like, so.. And some of my roosters won't eat any of the food, and they will call the hens. Some of my roosters share it. And I have a rooster who sometimes just eats it all, yet calls the hens anyways. And some of my roosters lie! They call the hens for food, when they don't really have food, then mate with the hens.I just realized roosters are like communist leaders.
They monitor everything. They will take down any hen that he doesn't like. Whenever food is discovered, he will go eat a lot of it himself, then call for all the hens to have their own small, fair share piece of the food. No hen is safe from his' rule. No hen gets something just for herself. Everything is owned by him.
Or maybe my rooster is just crazy.
Quote: no, i just left it under a bush.

Just wondering what breed is your rooster? and that is just how some roos are some are mean and some are nice.He doesn't attack them. He just rejects hens to show dominance. Every once in a while there may be a small fight. Can happen with two hens or a hen and a rooster. He has never hurt a hen, however, he has pushed them out of the way before in special cases.
