Hello Sparkleflower,. grate name by the way :D

You are close! Macedonia borders with Greece. Technically called Republic Of Macedonia. There is also an region in Greece called Macedonia. They changed the borders, Greece claimed that region for themselves and have been demanding that Macedonia changes it's name because the 'real' Macedonia is in Greece. Ah, politics! It all gets a bit tense here sometimes :/

It's fine where we are though. Our town is pretty quiet. But there's more tensions in the capital, Skopje, and around the borders with Albania and Kosovo. There are a lot of ethnic Albanians living in the towns around the border, they are wanting to declare themselves independent, just like what happened in Kosovo. People are saying that their intentions are for Albania, Kosovo and the border regions in Macedonia to unite to form a 'Greater Albania'. Maybe it will happen, the world seems to be rather chaotic just now, with what has been happening in the middle east, Kosovo separating from Serbia, all the protesting across Europe and now this with Ukraine and Russia, anything is possible. But as long as fighting doesn't break out again i don't really care what they do. Last time there was fighting here was in 2001. Luckily I'm not Macedonian, I'm Scottish, so if fighting does break out we can get on a plain back to Scotland where it's safe! Hopefully that's never going to happen though!

One cat called Tash she is two and a dog called Bracken hes eight.

I don't like "Official" names for countries.

Don't names like "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" and "Kingdom of Norway" sound ridiculous? Everyone calls 'em the Soviet Union and Norway anyways.

I don't think there will ever be a time where we'll run out of things to name our countries.
