State a fact about yourself!

I want to make a 100% electronic RC lawnmower.

To clarify, I mean swapping out the gas engine with an electric one. replacing the wheels with tires and connecting the back wheels with another electric engine and make the front ones turn using another electric engine. While it's wishful thinking, I'd like to add another engine to adjust the height. Attach all of this to an RC power controller circuit, which would connect to a car battery.

Why? Because it's cheaper to run electric lawn tools instead of gas (especially if you're the kind of person who likes to mow every time their lawn grows by just an inch), it's cleaner (less pollution and stink), and it's not nearly as loud.

The reason why I want it to be RC is because it's not that expensive to do, it doesn't require me to push the lawn mower, and it's cheaper to buy a lawn mower and to run said lawn mower when it doesn't have to carry you around.

Don't know if I'll build it, but knowing the logic behind it I can say for certain it's possible. All my other gas mowers have cause nothing but trouble. They're loud, stinky, expensive to run, and never lasts that long. Plus I hate pushing it and I'll never be able to buy a mower that pushes me.

I've actually though about that...

You would need a bit more than just a car battery though. Probably 2 or 3 or more Deep Cycle batteries.

There are a few DIY RC mowers out there that run off a car battery, but they use 2 in series for a 24v system.

I think a car battery will do it. Maybe line them up in parallel.
