Just gotta say.... discharging a car battery like that will kill its life span.

It may not last that long, but long enough for at least one season right? Also, cars self-charge batteries via the engine all the time, so they shouldn't go out by having me manually recharging them.

Considering the average mower lifespan seems to be about 2 years around here, it's still very cost effective.

Actually, my cousin fixes a lot of cars and can probably get some used but good ones for me.
