a couple repeated. One hen hatched 13 chicks.
WOW! Parakeet had 12 eggs and only one hatched. We figured she just had too many eggs on her first time hatching, and some of them might not have even been fertile. Her one actual hatchling was named Finch, continuing the bird name trend

lol this girl was a first time broody herself... the OEGB self blue hen was highly demonic and would chase me across the yard lmao.

Whoa. Maybe it's got something to do with me and sissy's habit of spoiling our girls totally rotten. Mom and dad don't want them in the immediate backyard, but we never chase them out

All of our EE's are our babies too. They were fussy babies, so we would bring them in the house, out in a baggy sweatshirt, and let them sleep in a sleeve. Now they all want to hide under a shirt whenever they get pecked

We tell them they need to grow up and "be fierce", but they don't seem to be listening
