Staying In Coop

Hi!

One of my chickens started staying in the coop, roosting during the day and hanging out in the nesting box. I thought she was maybe tired or going broody, but after 2 days of this behavior, she passed. I am looking for what may have caused her death so I can prevent it in the future or treat my other chickens if needed. Thanks!

We will need a lot more information than that to help. How old was she? Was she laying? What did her poop look like before she died? Was she eating and drinking?

She was 3 years old and seemed to be eating and drinking like normal until the last day. All normal poops. Her comb was red and she had been laying but looking back it had been a while since I had gotten an egg from her.
