Just a bit ago I went out to shine barn and surroundings for bad guys. Nothing much of late until tonight. I saw in the ice crystal laced barn two steely blue eyes looking back at me. I riled my female dog into action so we could run our routes to catch the critter. Lucy quickly ran to her position on back side of barn as that is where she is most likely to catch a raccoon. She held position there as I stalked the feed storage area. As I got close to barn Lucy went tracking a rabbit even though eyes where still there. It took me a couple more minutes to sneak up on those that never moved a lick. Then the critter came into crystal clear view like possible only on a cold late fall night. It was the shiny handle on the feed bin.........

Dogs think I am an idiot.

For me it's been early morning/late evening shadows. I see this big "creature" out there, get out my binoculars, and.... gee, how dangerous, it's a shadow from a bush. **SIGH**

Hey, better safe than sorry! Plus you just know that feed bin handles are devious critters ...
