Step Into My World If You Will

I think I am seeing her towards the upper left about an inch down from the top of the picture, kind of in between the two gaps.

I am going to LA honey tomorrow with some friends to get started on what we need to do to put a hive in our backyard. Very excited!

How can I tell the difference between the honeybees and African bees? All I know they both would sting!

How is the outcome of the disease of your honeybees? Are they leveling out now or still having problems with dead and dying honeybees?

Last time I heard, possibility of fungus attacking honeybees a few years back. I am guessing you guys have the bees vaccinated or bred for resistance.

CCD (Colony collapse disorder) has not hit Louisiana. Our bees are strong. Mine are survivor stock from feral colonies mostly and I use no medications in my hives whatsoever, never have.

Can't tell by looking if they are european or africanized, have to do tests in a lab. One is a DNA test, other measures wings.

Last I heard the so called experts think it could be viral, perhaps a new strain of nosema (bee dysentary)

CCD mainly affects those who use chemicals in their hives, particularly migratory beekeepers.

Y'all wanna keep guessing where that queen is in the last photo?

Want a hint?

I believe you got it but to verify, if you took a ruler and measured, she is 2" from the top and 6" from the left. So 2" down and mostly on the right side of the photo. Head down and wings erect.

This one was kinda a hard one as she is sort of facing the camera.
