Steppin out

At seven weeks the girls are taking their first steps out on the road to Free Rangin'!

Didn't go far or for very long but they went out the door....or most of them did. Pretty funny watching the ones that didn't go out rushing back and forth inside the wire cuz they coudn't be with their flock mates.

Just go out the door silly chickens!

A silly thing to celebrate I guess, but there it is.

They are fun to watch and it's like watching your kids venture out for the 1st time. Very exciting and you have a beautiful flock! Enjoy

nice! mine just had their first outing also, at about 10 weeks...they have 300 acres, but only go about 30 feet...getting braver and braver, I suspect I will find them on my back door step soon, like my roos of last year did....
here is a pic of my son, watching our bravest BR roo...he used to tap on the glass with his beak all the time....
