Stepping stool nesting box

I found this stool and I want to convert it to a nesting box. I'm wondering if inside is big enough. Any suggestions?

Yes, it looks big enough to me as long as you don't have big hens. If your hen can squeeze herself in there, then it is good. However, the hen may decide it is too small even if she can fit,and lay elsewhere. It may be a good ides to have multiple nests available.

decided to go with this doll cradle. Should I take a side panel off for easy entry? I'm worried that it's so deep they might crush the eggs getting in and out.
