Hi Im new to BYC forum, I have been raising chickens for about 10 years now an find it fun an amazing, I raise game chickens an Japanese black tail Bantams, I am always amazed at the new chics that are continually hatching, my hens seem to always want to be nesting, they will raise a bunch of chics turn around at start laying an start nesting again, I am lucky I live where I can free range my chickens, although I do have some predators at times, my hens are fierce an will fight to death for thier chicks. I have just gotten into guineas an they are wonderful, last year I only had females this year I got lucky an was able to find a new group of 15 that had male an females with them, they hatch this year but unfortunately even though I did research on raising keets I was not lucky, but hopefully due to this website I now am smarter I read a article that said I should not feed keets chic starter (which I did), an also at the time they hatched we had an amazing amount of rain an cool temperature, I have eggs under one of my game hens that should hatch in a couple of weeks so Im going to do different this time, The article said I should not use wood shavings or hay which I did so I was wondering would sand be a good option? Looking forward to your answers. Thank you

I don't know anything about keets, but check out the section on Guinea Fowl. You'll get lost of info there.
