I plan on treating the coop and run. Is it necessary to treat my chickens too when I’ve already taken the fleas off?

How do you suggest I treat the coop? The floor is dirt, so do I spray the dirt?If the fleas are off, then it may not be necessary, but I'd have the Permethrin on hand just in case you find anymore.
