Sticky chick, help...

What should I do to him? I helped it hatch since I saw its body is attached to the shell. However now I don't know what I should do.. His left feather is covered with dried egg gunk. It's really sticky, like some sort of dried glue.. I tried wetting the area but it's not enough. Should I wash his left feather with warm water?

wash with warm water in same direction of the fluff, then dry and show it where water and food are in the brooder and put him down under the heat lamp
