I noticed one of my BO chicks was acting funny. I immediately separated her from the rest of the flock (they are still inside at this point). She was shaking her head and sneezing. Earlier that day, I heard one of my chicks talking and talking. She wouldn't shut up. It was this chick. She continued to keep chirping. She wouldn't drink any water. I started giving her water through a straw but noticed she had saliva all in her mouth that appeared to be sticky. She did eat a little. Her poops were watery. I was sure she wouldn't make it through he night. Today is day 4 and she seems to have improved a lot. She is going to the bathroom better. She won't leave me along however, which is cute but also a little annoying. She keeps wanting to jump on my shoulder and snuggle my neck and hair and makes purring sounds. It's hard to tell if the saliva is different now. She is drinking on her own and eating. No sneezing and head shaking anymore. First, what the heck happened? Second, is it safe to put her back with the flock?

Maybe it got something stuck in it throat or nose..? At least it has gotten better now. I'm not sure about putting in back with the others - if it is not sick, then it should be safe enough.

Seems like the saliva is still there. It gets better and then acts up.
