Hello out there in ChickLand! I have a new pullet who appeared healthy when I picked her up almost 3 weeks ago. I noticed shortly after her arrival that her left vent weeps sticky "snot". Not a lot, but enough that I noticed it and wipe it to keep it clear and clean. Week 2 she started keeping her left eye lid shut. At first I thought perhaps she got something in it. I washed it was saline but it still droops. Yesterday, I noticed a few bubbles at the lower lid. I have been reading alot about CRD and Mycroplasma. The two symptoms are the only two that present. She is otherwise, eating well, drinking well, etc... She is my easteregger and is very, very sweet. The thought of culling her is horrible to me. Oh, and she resides right now in a small coop with a barred rock who came home the same time. They have been in the yard with my big girls, and no one else has shown any signs of illness. Suggestions please???
