its been a few years since i've hatched, so i've been needing to refresh myself and i've never hatched bantams! i'm using a still air little giant styro-bator. have had great hatch rates. I've got 22 eggs in there, 4 of which are bantam. i have the thermometer at egg height.. but thats the height of the regular sized eggs. since its expected to be cooler at the bottom and warmer at the top, should i raise up the bantam eggs a little? maybe on a soda bottle cap or something? I just set last night, so here's hoping they've been warm enough overnight way down there

I'd be worried about the smallest bump to the bator knocking them off whatever you proppped them on and cracking them. Or impeding air flow.

I might just try to place them closer to the heating element, since it's likely warmer there.

I incubate Japanese Bantams successfully with my “normal” Ameraucana eggs. Same temp and humidity, at the same level in the incubator. They may hatch on the 18th day, so prepare to pay close attention to pipping and stop turning them earlier if that is the case.
