Still Cliquey

After three wks of introducing younger by eight wks to older birds the cliques are still in tack. This will more than likely change when they size. Now getting 3-4 eggs every couple days from the 4 older 17 wk Blk Aus. Eggs are getting larger. Lured them to nest boxes with the old wooden nickel trick. Always had good luck with the Dumor Non Medicated Chick Starter followed by Dumor Layer with every day free range.

This will more than likely change when they size.

This isn't the reason sub-flocks remain intact.

Sub-flocks blend when all birds are laying. They can also morph into new sub-flocks of like colored birds but the divisions in those flocks are not as strong.

They will stay a sub flock, until they start laying. One day you will go down, and they are just one flock. A subtle difference, but if you are watching it is obvious.
