Still having a issue with temp

ok heres my question i am having a issue with the temp in my new
HovaBator Genesis 1588 the temp is still reading 101.7 i have no eggs in it at this time but im doing a test run on it to see how it goes i know these are suppose to be preset at a certain temp how can i get the temp to what it needs to be at? thanks

I just got a Hovabator 1588, too - cranked it up Sunday and it kept steady at barely above 100. I recall reading in the directions that the thermostat on the unit would be more accurate than the thermometer they provide to place in the bator where you can see it. My suggestion is to check the temp with another thermometer and see if it has the same reading as the other one. If the temp is still too high, there are ways to adjust the unit. I don't know how

But supposedly it can be done.
 
I think i got it figured out they had it set on #4 instead of # 3 !! now it is working !!! so im setting eggs on friday!!!
 
make sure you get a digital thermometer

dont use the included thermometer sometimes is hard to read trough the window and sometimes is not acurate
