Still "Lock Down" when eggs at different stages?

I have 6 egg developing from two different breeds that were placed in the 'bater at the same time. At candling today, most looked about right for day 16. Two of the same breed looked 2-3 days behind. They may have died but it appears they are still growing and I'm pretty sure I saw movement in at least 1 of them. SO what do I do at day 18 with only 1 incubator presuming these two are still viable? Lock down and hope for the best? Postpone lockdown until day 19 but stop turning at 18? Anyone else with experience in this situation? (Next time only 1 breed in the 'bater at a time!)

you can lockdown the ones that seem ready an then add the others. just add them quick and give a squirt or two of warm water to replace the humidity if needed. it shouldn't be that big of deal.

sorry... i don't know what i was thinking.

i think what i mean is that if you raise the humidity for lockdown and then have the eggs up front that still need rotated, you can open the bator quickly and rotate them and replace the moisture with some squirts of warm water. this should not harm the ones on lockdown. does that make more sense?

Some people recommend not increasing humidity/stop turning when they see the first pip, but I would probably just do it for everyone on the morning of the day 19.

Thx - I think this is what I will do. Chances are that by the time I get the humidity right it will be Day 19 anyway!

Ah - yes that makes sense! I was going to postpone lockdown worrying the less developed eggs would not get the oxygen they needed in the lockdown humidity. Should this be a concern? I'm not so concerned about the turning as that is less critical the last few days. I may be stuck rolling the dice and hedging bets - isn't that what incubating is all about?
