I don’t think Hoovers has Gold neck d’Uccle either. Looks like these came from Ideal or Privett. Sometimes TSC uses them.

I bought them from Rural King and they said they only use hoovers. But hoovers contracts out, don't they? It's not all under one roof and set of eyes. I think that's why their chicks are of such varying breed quality, and why there are so many mysteries and pure breeds that aren't bred true. But I don't know for certain.

Also, I was there once when they were stocking the chicks and I was able to inspect their shipping packages. There were a LOT of dead chicks in their mailing boxes. It was sad.

Covid changed a lot of things. Before it I often got next day shipments of chicks but nowadays I read the hatcheries’ reviews and there are so many DOAs
