Don’t know from experience, but I’ve heard valley quail chicks are very hard to raise, just one factor out of whack may kill the babies.

I’m noticing that lol. This will probably be the last time I ever try raising these quail.

Some teflon coated bulbs will have a warning label saying that they have a PTFE coating, or brag that they're suitable for 'rough service' or 'shatter resistant'. These catch phrases and euphemisms all mean TEFLON. I'm unfamiliar with your brand of bulb, so I don't know if it's coated or not.

As for the light, it’s a red bulb 100w by Zilla. Hopefully that’s not toxic...

Zilla is a reptile accessories manufacturer, I doubt it has teflon. I have used them in with no problem.
