With going by the age that tractor supply gave me, my girls should be around 23 weeks of age. I purchased 4 at the same time, and none of them are laying yet. They get their regular feed, oyster shells and fruits here and there (mostly apples). I even have fake eggs in the nesting boxes. I’m not sure if I’m missing something, I’m definitely a rookie and this is my first time ever owning chickens. Thank you in advance!

About the time you completely give up hope, they lay. But I think they are close to 6 more weeks, they have not reddened up yet. Their combs will get bright red, and then it is about 3-4 weeks. I have one pullet that is redder than her sisters. I am counting the days too.

Thank you! That would definitely make sense if they aren’t! I imagine tractor supply didn’t have their ages right as they seemed to be unsure when I got them.

They will start when they are ready. Combs should get pretty red then. Hope they are eating an all flock or chick starter type feed, they are growing youngsters.
And look at their skin at night, with a flashlight, in case there are mites or lice.

Thank you so much for the feedback! And yes they are on the chick starter feed.
