Any type of hot peppers fresh or dried, especially in colder climates or colder weather and it is a good healthy food for the birds.Wait! Are you serious? Hot peppers for kickstarting the lay? That's amazing. And I think I'm going to try it...
I don't have ground cayenne around but a neighbor has a ton of fresh peppers that I'm sure she will share with me. Any particular variety recommended? Does it matter whether the pepper is fresh or dried? Should I chop the peppers?
When I have lots of fresh healthy chickens and eggs around, why would I want to eat ANY Chinese made TV dinners, much less seven days a week? I am a person, not livestock! No offense, but why would you ever feed any animal only processed food that is made under almost no supervision and only has the quality control that the manufacturer decides to implement?
Thats like saying that people should only eat Chinese made TV dinners seven days a week. My flock of seven birds gets layer feed as the base of their diet. However, I supliment this with greens, oatmeal, Tuna, yogurt, and what ever else I decide to treat them with while I make the families dinner. I get 6 or 7 eggs a day, from my girls depending on the day. They are healthy and happy..
