What's going on that hatcheries aren't selling chicks? We just bought some from cackle hatchery in Missouri.

I think that you will find that many are sold out for the season on many of the more rare birds (probably where they don't have a lot of breeding stock-- like some of the Wyandottes), but some of the hatcheries sell the common chicks year round.
