Hello everyone! New member on this site and new to the joys of chicken keeping! We have 2 pullets, Beatrix potter (columbian blacktail) and felicity wobble (silver Sussex) and flick started laying about a week ago, her first egg was laid 2 days after we brought her home which had a hard shell and was a double yolk! Ever since then she has laid soft shelled eggs, one a day for about 7 days in a row. They free range in the garden all day and also have corn and layer pellets. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Here's hoping someone can help :)
