Still waiting on shipped eggs...

I don't blame you for wanting your eggs to arrive when they said they would. It's an exciting time. I know when I have eggs or day old chicks coming I can hardly wait for the mailman to arrive or to receive that call at 5am to pick up the chicks. The anticipation.......

It doesn't make sense that they havn't arrived. Are you sure he shipped them when he said he did? Did they send them first class or priority? I'm wishing you the best and hoping they come on Monday

I am hoping everything is on the up and up. I actually purchased these from a BYC'er. There is that little nagging doubt in the back of my mind, but that is probably due to the fact that I have never done this before, ordered anything 'live' over the internet from an individual. But, I do believe this person is honest, going off the posts I have read. I hope I did the right thing.

That really is a horrible thing some one did to you, momof247371.
I just don't understand how people can do that sort of thing.

Homesteading_Bound: the seller sent me an email telling me I would have them April 8. I am guessing that means they were mailed Monday, April 6. I'm worried since the temperatures have dropped again here. What if they're stuck on a truck somewhere getting chilled (or cooked - this is Texas, the weather changes dramatically here). We're expecting bad storms again tonight. :-(

I wouldn't be too concerned yet-just email/pm the person you bought from and check to see if/when they shipped. I have ordered from a few different BYCers and been very happy, but twice was told when something would ship and then emailed them when I expected the eggs and sure enough there had been a delay--once with some broken eggs, and the other time I think there were too many orders and not enough laying or something, but the eggs made it to me within a week or so of what i was expecting.

It seems the packaging is always amazing, there are extra eggs in case of breakage, and usually no breakage--so I don't mind if there is a delay, so long as the delay was with the shipper and not the post office so that the eggs have the best chance when I get them.

Shipping this week has been completely crazy! I sent eggs to OR on Tuesday that made it there on Thursday, and I sent eggs to AR on Saturday that didn't arrive until Thursday. I also had eggs sent to me that came from OK on Monday, and they got here today. The estimated shipping date is just that, an estimate. They are supposed to be 2-3 days if sent by priority mail, but sometimes that just doesn't happen. I have also had eggs sent to me from Eastern KY that took a full week to arrive. Just keep looking, they should show up. And contact the shipper to see if they know anything about it.
