Stink poo after mealworms

My husband gave our 6 week old chicks freeze dried mealworms yesterday and their poo smells bad today, is this normal?

Chicken poop always smells, the smell usually relates to what they are eating. Like if they eat a lot plants the odor is less noticeable, but if they feed on a lot of protein it does stink more.
