Stone and mortar coup?

We have a bit of extra stone on hand. Has anyone ever seen a coup made of stone and mortar? Do any pros or cons come to mind?

Nothing inherently wrong with the idea.

It will be particularly important to plan ahead to keep it well ventilated so it doesn't end up "cellar damp" but it ought to be nice and cool on blistering hot days.

Where, in general, are you? Climate matters, especially when it comes to housing. If you put your general location into your profile people can give better-targeted advice.

If you want to post drawings or other plans, we'd be happy to give you feedback/advice. Do you have ideas about dimensions, orientation (to prevailing wind or weather), and a good location? Pictures of your location would be helpful to see too.
