i just purchased a one acre property here in Virginia and have decided to create a chicken coop and raise chickens and eggs for family and friends. I also have a method of shipping which should work well, although the project is too new to say for sure.

your comments and questions are welcome...

Sounds like a cool project! What kind of chickens are you going to get into and what shall you be shipping? Chicks? Chickens? Eggs? Both? Welcome by the way!!

Thanks for the reply...I have 500 boxes made of styrofoam, with 2" thick walls and i am not sure how many eggs will fit...in square boxes?, half-long boxes?, or custom cut separators?...i will let you know...I would only ship eggs, or frozen commercially processed meat.

I also use the lid for starting garden seeds, and the open box as a hot kap for seedlings...works great...i can start tomatoes and peppers, etc the first of april instead of june here in northern virginia...
