We have a chicken that is about eight months old. She stopped wanting to eat a lot but otherwise is acting fairly normal. We’ve been giving her a mash of yogurt, seeds, and other goodies to entice her. She’ll eat a bit of that. Her stool is clear, like water with a little bit of white in it. So she clearly has something going on with her stomach. Not sure what to do? She needs to eat with the flock but won’t. Thoughts?

Watery droppings means they are mostly just consuming water. Is she losing weight? Have you checked her crop?

Good question...it’s not hard/bulging like the other birds. We noticed that a couple days ago. But she’s also not hungry and is needing alot of enticing to get her to eat? 🤷‍♀️ I don’t get it?

Could you tempt her with some crumbled hard boiled egg? It’s probably not going to completely fix the problem but it would provide a little nourishment in the meantime.

good luck!

Great idea, that’s actually part of the mash we make up. We included....A tiny bit of ground Pumpkin seed, Egg, plain organic greek yogurt, cucumber, probiotic, coop kelp, spinach, seeds, etc. she will eat a little bit of that and honestly thats prob whats sustaining her at this point
