stoopid questions again! when is day 18?

so, I put eggs in the bator on friday the 13th, in the morning about 7.
so, is today number 18 or tomorrow?
and is hatch day on Thursday or Friday?
I think I've been counting a day late!
I might be due thursday?
did I mess up by not putting them on the flat til tonight?

If you started them on Fri. they should hatch on Fri. It really makes no differance at all if you put them down to hatch a day early.

So, I put them to hatch, but as I have a dozen still in the turner, and the darn turner fills the whole thing, I put some on the wire in the center, and then put a top of an egg carton on the turner on the other side, and put 8 eggs in there, is that ok?

also, will the increased humidity hurt the ones a week behind?

and lastly... how do I keep the humidity high without opening it?
I have to rewet my sponges daily just to keep it at 50% and now with the second sponge by morning it was already down to 68% so they are drying... can I sneak them out and wet them tonight like I usually do?

some of the eggs feel very heavy... so I'm feeling like they might have a real chick in there! woooooohooooooo!!!

what else do I have to do?
setting up the brooder lights tonight, so I can move them... don't wanna leave any dry chicks in the incubator with a turner going... might be a disaster...
