Stop buying chicken feed

To calm the waters, could we think about a minimum area in which this experiment might succeed?

Obviously 1/4 acre wouldn't sustain 30 chickens.

What's our theoretical chicken to land ratio here?
I imagine this will vary so much from one place to another that it's not going to be possible to come up with any kind of one-size-fits-all rule of thumb figure.

I'm in a forest which i believe is the best for keeping chickens free range full time. I have 14 or so chickens right now that thrive on just a small portion of my land. I have 15 acres total and they probably only utilize 2 acres.

Last winter. 100% free range. No suplemental feed.

It's highly breed dependent. My saipan jungle fowl x gamefowl x Dominique mixes are more or less perfect for living off of the land.(2 silkie mixes because why not lol ,they are mostly gamefowl)

They lay all over. And get enough nutrition to hatch several clutches a year
