Stopped laying and diarrhoea

Hi,

We’ve had our 3 chickens for about a month. They’re approx 6 month old gold stars. All laying everyday until 5 days ago. 1 has stopped and I suspect the same one has diarrhoea, having seen her poo watery poo. Others appear normal and laying. My husband did a mixture of Vern-x working pellets a week ago which I think is a new worker for them (previously the lady gave them a brand of layer pellets like their feed 1 week out of 6 I think). Nothing else changed. She’s acting normally otherwise. Any ideas?

If the hen is behaving normally except for taking a break in laying, then I would assume she will likely be fine and begin laying again soon.

Keep an eye on her behavior, though. If it starts to decline into lethargy, then we may need to consider what else may be going on.

Thank you, the diarrhoea is strange but we’re pretty sure she’s been like that since we got her a few weeks ago, we’re novices and learning. Assuming she stays well in her self we’ll look at building her gut up. Appreciate you taking the time
