Stopped laying and possibly molting?

I have a barnevelder hen who is about 10 months old. The last 4 days I’ve gone into the coop, there has been quite a bit of her feathers on the ground. I’ve also noticed that I haven’t gotten an egg from her in probably close to a week. It looks as if she might be losing them in her breast area. She isn’t acting any different and does not appear to be sick. Could she possibly be starting to molt?
I apologize if this is not the appropriate place for this post.

Thank you

Pay close attention to her over the coming week. I suspect, due to the feathers she's missing, that she has gone broody and may be hiding her eggs from you to form a clutch.
I mean... she could be molting, but... she could be wanting to become a mama.

If you have photos you wish to share, those are always welcome.
Look her over, see if there's pin feathers coming in. She may be going through a soft molt. Most chickens go through molt at 16-18months, but it's not that uncommon for a pullet to molt too. I've had a couple molt lightly at around 10months and they went out of lay during that time.
