I have a group of 11 hens that are mostly 1-2 years old. They have been laying through the winter 3-5 eggs a day. About 6 weeks ago it warmed up a little bit and they started laying 7 to 10. We had a cold snap where the temperatures got down below zero again and they have completely stopped playing and I have not gotten a single egg for over three weeks. Would anybody know when they'd start laying again.

Did you use supplemental lighting over the winter?
Do you free range?
They may just be reacting to temps vs calories.
What and how exactly are you feeding?
Did their water freeze?
Even a few hours of no water can shut them down.

During the winter I did have some supplemental light gave him an extra 2 hours a day. I have not changed their feed I'm feeding a pelletized layer feed with some cracked corn. I had to take their Wi-Fi away I spent time scrolling the backyard chickens website

When did you start the lighting...and have you stopped it now?
What is the protein percentage of the pellets?
How much cracked corn...is it mixed into feed or fed separately from feed?

..and these too...

Question, I have 7 hens which a year old When they started laying I would get 7 eggs a day now it is 3 maybe 4 yesterday 2 any ideas of what might be wrong? I let them out to feast on worms then back in coop their not sick or anything today no eggs.
