I've got 4 chickens out of 13 that should be laying soon... however the 4 were laying regularly for 3 months all of a sudden stopped about 5wks ago? I treated for worms and put fans out because it's been hot. One of the 4 has gone broody and is sitting on eggs. It's so weird that none are laying all of a sudden? Any ideas please.

Have you recently introduced any new members to the flock? Chickens like routine and if you add a new bird to the flock, they may stop laying.

How high in protein is their feed, too? Laying hens should be consuming anywhere from 18%-20% protein. If they do not consume enough protein, they can't lay.

Also, if it's hot in your area, they may stop laying because of the heat.

And, as @chickybaby1213 said, they may be stressed.

They are eatting egg maker and I've been giving them extra protein at night. It is really hot here. There's nothing really new going on. The only thing I can think of is one of there chicken buddies got killed by a eagle about 6 weeks ago. This is so weird:/

They must be in shock and/or stressed because of the eagle. My chooks experienced a predator pulling out a screen window and the predator killing half of my flock. That happened in early June. They just got back into the routine of laying.
