Hi everyone, my name is Rosie and I'm a fairly new ducky momma. We were given a pair of mated ducks last year and I fell in love. We lost of female Ethel mid-spring and our drake was not happy so hubby replace her yesterday with 2 Khaki Campbells that are 8 weeks old, Alice and Trixie, not that we will ever be able to tell them apart other then personality.
We also have 2 dogs, 1 AST Grizzly and a AST/Viszla named Missy aka BIG TROUBLEMAKER!!! Missy and Fred are friends though, she runs to the duck pen and Fred runs over to her and quacks. The new girls aren't quite sure what to make of Missy and she has no idea what to make of them since they re a bit more vocal than what she was used to. Now we need to add in 2 outside cats who don't bother with the ducks and a 3rd indoor/outdoor who suns himself on the roof of the duck pen. PLUS, 2 indoor cats who wouldn't know what a duck is. I was going to try and sneak a baby goat home but I think if I do hubby will move me out to the pens with a blanket and pillow...LOL
I do hope you guys can help me with any questions I have with this new batch of ducks so that they are with me for a long time.
