Hello guys, back again, just wondering if anyone here has any idea or pics on how I can build a chicken coop or duck pen using these.I tried searching But none of it seems suitable.can anyone tell Me what else I will need. I may have the chickens and ducks together or separately,But separate seems to be what most of you guys recommend. Have quite a bit of these cubes andnwasbthinking to build a coop. Any ideas?

I'm actually thinking about this as well. what I am thinking is using zip ties and maybe those J clips you can buy at Home Depot. you might as well get rid of those plastic connectors they're garbage and any predator could easily take them out. plus it makes the spaces in between much larger. I'm considering making a 6 long grid by 3 wide plus a top and an apron around the entire thing. I'm also going to make a wooden frame out of 2x4's for structural support.

also you would have to stake down the coop because those panels are very lightweight. and put something over the top and one side like a tarp or something for winter and rainy days.

Thanks But I actually live in an apartment and I will be planning this outside on my corridor.it's huge.and I live in Singapore so we only have hot weather and No natural predators for the chooks and ducks.

yes, plus you would want a cover for shade and if it rains. plus they like a little bit of security. are you just using the cubes or building them a coop as well?

You might still want a cover because by looking at it the chooks and also the ducks might be able to fly over it.

Yeaps. I am going to fix a cover as well.I'm only concerned about the base.any ideas?

I already have the coop and was thinking of using the cubes to expand it's space.this is the furthest I can possibly go.the base is what rakes my mind.

Anyways. Thanks everyone.do give me more advice.

I have used storage cubes for SO many animal cages/pens. I have so many of them, I just love them. I have used them for a giant cat cage when I got a new kitten, a hedgehog cage, two rabbit cages and I also use a whole bunch of them for a pen for my dog. usually I don't use a bottom for them because they're inside. for me when I make my chicken run, I'm making an apron and using sand on the inside and I will stake it down. maybe you could use sand for the bottom & contain the sand with wood?
