Storage pod for coop?

So I'm a complete newby will be getting chicks in the next couple weeks. We will be building our own coop. I've been searching craigslist for cheap or free lumber and pallets, and I found large wooden storage pod crates. We would add doors ventilation, siding and roofing. They are asking $70. It's 7x5x7. What do you think? Doable? here's a pic:
