Bought these for $.50 at TSC. I know they're probably dead but I couldn't resist the challenge for $.50. They were very dried out and I didn't see any green when I scraped the stem. Anyone think there's a chance they'll make it? And does anyone have some tricks up their sleeve to revive them?

Dip cut-lings Root Hormone powder.;)

If there is no sign of green in the cambium, you have 0% chance of success, IMO.

Thank you! & I really think you're right. :thSeeing no progress yet. Used the miracle grow root hormone and had someone make another cool suggestion of using willow tree clippings in water but I'm not sure where to locate one that I can readily take clippings from so haven't done that. I'm not seeing any progress now but I'm going to hold out a little longer before I pull the plug. But if nothing happens I'm only out $1 which I can live with.

I am also a bottom feeder and buy most of my plants from the clearance bin. I have to really, really want something really, really bad, or have a wad of egg or birthday money in my pocket to be willing to buy something at full price.

The place to look for new life at this time is in the root area immediately below the main stem. If you have had them soaking for several days now you would see some action there, if nothing, then I'm afraid there is not much hope now. :(
