I need to store fertile eggs until Monday what's the best way to do it ?
In the fridge. Collected fertile eggs from two of mine putting them into the fridge. After two weeks exactly they went into the incubator, 16/17 began developing. The odd one out was not the oldest, I figure the rooster missed on that one. Fridge.
oh, and when they come out, leave them for say two hours to warm to room temp by themselves is what I would do prior to the incubator.
Ok good that's what I have been doing
please use a pencil and write 'first three' or whatever on the ones already in there, and dates on the new ones. That way it would be possible to determine what is the cut-off period for refrigerated storage. It's somewhere beyond 2 weeks, please let me know if you find out what it is (for you).
no need they are being shipped monday first one was laid friday.
maybe sally's take on it is useful
