I have several turkeys I'm slaughtering within the next couple weeks, but I'm not sure what to store them in for freezing. I have a friend who used a couple garbage bags per bird, can I do that safely?

I use shrink wrap poultry bags and it works great.

Are those like the seal-a-meal things? I've never heard of shrink wrap poultry bags, I'm excited to try it! Thank you!

They are shrink wrap poultry bags. You can order them on line. I dip them in hot water and it shrinks to the bird, zip tie then in the freezer.

Oh wow, those sound awesome!! I may have to do that in the future!! Just out of curiosity, are they the same thing as cellophane shrink bags? I'm doing this tomorrow morning and the nearest store is 35 miles away lol... I have some cellophane shrink bags, I'm wondering (and hoping!!) if I could just use those..?
