I'm hoping to hatch out chicks from my buff orpington hen. I only have one, so I will have to collect eggs for a week or so to get enough. How should I best store eggs for a week and still have them be viable?

Large end down at room temp. Eggs are good for seven days before chance of hatch starts to reduce.

Typo? It's large end up, pointy end down.

I would think it was a typo. It's also good to store the egg box on an incline, and swap to elevated end of the box a couple of times a day. Marking the eggs by date, can also be useful when it comes to hatch time.
