storing eggs to set

I live in Wisconsin, and the weather has been cold this week, I have a perfect place to store the eggs I have been collecting at 50 degrees. but by the time I get home from work, the eggs have been sitting in the nest box at a much lower temp. Will that lower temp change my success rate?

you should be okay. they won't start to develop till you heat'm up. If you heat'm up then let it get to freezing you might worry.

We are setting Black Cochins. Here is a shot of the two black cochins and one Splash cochin, when we got them last January. it turned out that all the cochins we bought as day olds last year were roo's, I started collecting last Sunday, and have 4 eggs so far that are pure Black Cochins I'am hoping to set at least 6 but the more the merrier.

We keep the Splash with the main flock ( a variety of 12 hens) and we traded a roo for a black hen.

here is the roo we kept, at the 4-H fair last fall, he is big and great looking, and handles very well, very docile. ( they are from Urches in Mn. )
