How long can eggs be stored for when they've been shipped to you? And where is the best place to store them? Is in the house fine or in the fridge? I've read a couple different things and would like some BYC advice.
If someone shipped me eggs, I usually put them in egg cartons pointy side down for about 12 hours on the kitchen counter before I put them in the incubator.
Ok mine are on the table pointy side down... but can they stay there for about 2 days? room temp ok? I want to make sure that my incubator is stable before i put them in and i just turned it on.... ??? i've never used an incubator before...
2 days is probably fine. How long has it been since they've been laid? The faster they go in, the better the chances they'll develop, but getting the temps right first is smart.
there is only 1 little splash egg in the bunch and i'm praying that it makes it!!! that's the color i wanted the most... but i figured i should get an assortment... why did i do that???
