At the moment my chicken feed/seed is in clean garbage cans outside beside the chicken coop.

Our winters here are extremely cold and long. Winter is ~6 months long and it can go down to -35°C (-31F) easily. With the current feed storage solution should I be concerned that the feed will loose nutrition and that my seeds will no longer sprout?

Any advice?

You need to move your feed cans out of the weather for sure. Put them on the porch if you have to. Your feed will not lose nutrition unless you have like 500 pounds of it and won't use up the last of it for quite a few months.

I'm confused when you say "...and that my seeds will no longer sprout".....huh?
