storing feed

I had my feed stored in a freezer then noticed water in the bottom so I took it out and stored it in a metal trash can with a snug lid. Now I am noticing moisture in it. I have scratch grains and cracked corn. How does everyone else store thier feed without moisture build up?

I put my feed in the big plastic garbage cans. With the lid. No moisture works really well. Good luck

I use the plastic containers that you put dog food in. It works great for me.

I use 30 lb plastic containers with screw lids to keep them locked secure.

My cans are the galvenized cans. I sit the bag and all into the cans. Does cracked corn have moisture in it? I could feel the moisture on the bag and see it on the inside wall of the can.Where do ya'll keep your containers at? Mine are are under a open type run...I have two sheds and a roof between them and they sit under the roof. Hmmmm any advice would be great!

I use several 5 gallon buckets that have the snap on lids....nothing gets in it!

not so sure about grains and such......but with dog and cat foods they should nevever bee put directly into plastic!!!! Why U wonder do to the fatty acids the bond with in the plastics causing bacterias we cantse or clean so if you use plastic keep the food in the bag aswell!!! just learning chickens but I own a health food store for dogs and cats

I use galvanized garbage cans also but I also have them on landscape timbers to keep them off the ground!! Since I've got them off the ground I've had no trouble with mouisture!!
