storing feed

The absolute best thing I found and love is large coolers, I use the cube type you find at Kmart or Target, it seals tight with no moisture and so easy to clean, and mine have wheels for easy transport.

yep I'm out on this one. I have thought about the vacume bag thing.......don't know....We used to store feed for the horses just in the bin... open air. Maybe that is the fix?

well I cant store it in an open container. I had it in my shed until the mice found it and so I had to move it. It seems to be the cracked corn thats getting wet. I felt the bag today and its all wet. Maybe its just a bad batch of corn. Maybe the next bag wont do that.

We kept oats for 6 months for the horses, no mold, but snakes!....... corn seems like it would be different...as in absorb moisture?.
