Hi,

I have my feed and corn stored in containers in an old barn type building. This July we have had a lot of hot steamy days and lots of storms in the afternoons. It has rained every day and I mean every day in July in my area. This is good but it is also keeping my building very humid on the inside. I open it in the afternoons but I can tell that it is still humid in the building.

I am worried that my feed/corn might start to mold in this steamy environment. Is there anything that I can put in the containers to keep the moisture at bay or does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.

Try using air tight sealed containers. If there is a second floor, store the feed your aren't immediately going to use up stairs. The upper floors are warmer and thus the humidity is lower. That was one of the reason they had the hay maul and granary upstairs.
